Beyaz Eller Launches Ramadan Al Khayr 6 Campaign

With the seventh year of a relentless war in Syria, civilians continue to brave dire humanitarian conditions marked with enormous suffering and deteriorating livelihood. This year the blessed month of Ramadan comes while hundreds of thousands are deported from their cities and villages and thrown into the arms of an endless migration.

How would they receive Ramadan if they cannot afford food to end their daylight fasting or shelter to hide the tiredness of night prayers?

The suffering continues to aggravate

Families in the Syrian inside suffer from extremely dire finances; the unparalleled destruction and loss of jobs and businesses have deprived breadwinners from obtaining decent livelihoods. The situation is way worse with the recent deportation wave that forced civilians off their city and deprived them from their homeland.

According to recent statistics by OCHA, 2,875,345 persons were displaced during the past year. The majority has moved to destinations that in normal times do not afford a noble livelihood to its own residents, but now are heavily pressured by the large number of exhausted households and children who have not grown-up enough to understand that war struggles to take their lives. Escaping death to another death, their souls fade away by the feeling of oppression.

Ramadan Al Khayr 6

A month that Muslims await from one year to another, in which mercies and rewards drop down like rain, and reassurance accompanies every discomfort.

As measures to support everyone in need and assist her/him to overcome their wounds, “Beyaz Eller Organization” launches “Ramadan Al Khayr 6” campaign for the sixth consecutive year to assure our lasting support to the brothers and sisters in Syria, to share their grieve, and extend a helping hand to the best of our abilities, so that they would be able to receive the blessed month, and in hope that it will be a month of relieve, in which Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) relieves their misery and ends their suffering.

Our Projects in Ramadan

In order to meet basic needs, especially the need for food, Beyaz Eller employs its field teams inside Syria and in Turkey, and collaborates with several governmental and local authorities to implement projects that make this Ramadan different for the afflicted Syrian families. We aim to suffice food needs and realize financial and psychological stability for the benefiting households, and help them secure the most important needs amid dire financial conditions.

This year, our efforts will cover the following lines:

- To distribute food baskets covering the needs of a five-member family during Ramadan.

- To prepare collective Iftar ceremonies that increase the feelings of fraternity and create a collaborative community.

- To distribute cooked meals throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.

- To distribute bread which is a staple of the Syrian diet.
