Project Justifications :
The continued assault on Syrian cities and villages and the consequent destruction of neighbourhoods have severely affected the finance of poor afflicted families. Whether partially or completely destroyed, many refuse to leave their homes and communities. In addition, the siege levied on opposition-led areas has restricted food import/export movements and forced many shops to close their doors over a diminishing supply. As a result, shop owners lost their income sources and would need greater funds to recover their work.
Altogether, this led to a severe economic backlash, dramatic depreciation of the Syrian currency, and increased unemployment among the middle-class workforce. The war has affected almost everyone in Syria, but most particularly shop owners and craftsmen.
Therefore, Beyaz Eller promotes Zakat Al-Fir Project to reach the neediest households and help shop owners recover their work and support their families.
