The Syrian north and areas close to the Syrian -Turkish borderline are permanent destinations for IDPs migrating war-torn cities and villages in the Syrian depth. The direct result is a severe shortage of food and increased need for assistance to alleviate the humanitarian crisis, help displaced and poor families affording basic needs, and relieve some of the financial burdens of household breadwinners.
Our Food Basket Project in Ramadan responds to an urgent need to provide food assistance to afflicted families in northern Syria, in order to realize psychological and financial stability during the blessed month.
The basket contains basic food products that suffice a five-member family throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
The project is based on packing and distributing food baskets to poor displaced and refugee families inside Syria. During Ramadan 1438/2017, we distributed 175 baskets in target zones. Beyaz Eller team targeted displaced and refugee households in the project location during the blessed month of Ramadan.
875 beneficiaries.
The project targeted poor displaced, besieged, and refugee households in besieged areas.
