The Syrian north and areas close to the Syrian -Turkish borderline are permanent destinations for IDPs migrating war-torn cities and villages in the Syrian depth. A direct result of nation-wide displacement is the severe shortage of food and increased need for assistance to alleviate the humanitarian crisis, help displaced and poor families affording basic needs, and relieve some of the financial burdens of household breadwinners.
Therefore, there is an urgent need to prepare and distribute ready-to-eat Iftar meals during Ramadan. Our project targets poor displaced and refugee families, and aims at realizing psychological and financial stability for the afflicted neighbourhoods in the blessed month of Ramadan.
Iftar Meals Project is a leading work line during Ramadan. Every year, Beyaz Eller oversees the preparation and distribution of hot meals to poor displaced and refugee families. Our distribution plans are based on pre-set statistical tables for target zones.
This year, our project is based on preparing 3,000 Iftar meals for distribution on IDPs in the Syrian inside- that is, 1,000 meals every day.
3,000 Beneficiaries
The project targets poor besieged and displaced families in the Syrian inside.
