In His book, Allah says: “So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].” (93:9)
And the Prophet (PBUH) says: “I and the one who takes the responsibility of an orphan will be in Paradise thus, and he joined his middle finger and forefinger.”
An Orphan would not have received this attention unless his suffering was great.
Amid a heartless war, orphans need their parents direly to feel safety. Their lives are full of tragedies and unforgettable moments. Yet, they try to smile and stand up again after every crumble.
Orphans are deprived of calling someone: “Dad!”;
Of having someone at their back, to take their hand if they fall;
Of mothers who relieve their pain when they get sick.
Those who never endured orphanhood can hardly understand the painful feeling that resides in an orphan’s soul.
Therefore, close one eye for a moment and imagine that you have lost your father.
Then close the other and imagine that you suddenly have lost your mother too.
Can you imagine the pain you would endure? All your thoughts are an imposed reality on helpless children…
In war, orphans are children who have lost their past and are prone to lose their future too,
unless they find a merciful hand that supports and assists them to overcome this painful stage of their lives.
