Islah supported Ramadan Iftar Meals

For seven years, Ramadan , a month of goodness, charity, and blessings has passed while the Syrian people suffered several crises and consecutive catastrophes that forced large numbers of Syrians into immigration to different regions. Most of them have immigrated to northern regions near the Syrian/Turkish borders. So Idlib and its countryside and the western and northern countrysides of Aleppo have become crowded with refugees escaping the regions devastated by strikes and destruction.

Iftar Meals

Providing Iftar meals to poor families is important as part of securing food and daily needs, as it helps fasting Muslims tolerate fasting hardships under the difficult conditions imposed on the displaced families, as war made securing such needs much more difficult, and losing family providers makes it even worse.

“Beyaz Eller Organization” seeks to alleviate the impact of these conditions by providing aid to the neediest residents in Syrian regions suffering of war hardships. The organization, supported by the “Charity Committee of Bahrini Islah Association” worked on providing Iftar meals for the fasting in Idlib countryside, Sermada, and Attmah in the Syrian inside.

1,700 meals were provided by the project each consisting of rice and meat, the basic ingredients needed for human body. These meals were provided to poorest families suffering shortage of food during the month of Ramadan.

Distributing Zakat Al-Fitr

Because needs variate across different households, we sought to distribute financial assistance to support the poorest families and help them affording their needs.

Thus, “Beyaz Eller Organization” worked through “Ramadan AlKhayr 6” campaign on distributing Zakat Al Fitr to the needy, poor, and displaced in idlib suburbs- northern Syria, using funds from “the Charity Committee of Islah Association”.

Humanitarian Cases

We have talked to some project beneficiaries, to know their needs.

A tired and exhausted girl says:

One of the beneficiaries, an over seventy years old man, whom we found sitting alone reciting Quran, has talked to us about his conditions, saying:

I used to spend several nights with no food, to save the little I manage to get for feeding my children. My husband was killed in war, leaving me and my children with nobody to provide for us, thus I can’t secure our needs on my own.

I’ve lost a lot of relatives to the war. I had to leave home after air strikes hit us hard” and continues, “It’s difficult for me to walk, thus I can’s secure breakfast, but charitable people in the neighborhood send me food everyday.

Sustainable Aid:

Beyaz Eller tries all the time to help many suffering families, it conducts research into the conditions of these families to determine the neediest of them in order to provide aid and secure their basic needs through priority projects imposed by  the changing circumstances of the country.
