As deportation processes continue to evacuate the residents from Eastern Ghouta amid vulnerable security conditions that exacerbate an already growing humanitarian catastrophe, efforts must collaborate to end the misery of thousands who search for safety and livelihood away from missiles the drop over their heads day and night.
According to a recent UN report, 80,000 residents were deported from Eastern Ghouta towards Damascus city and its countryside, 20,000 were moved to northwest Syria, and 52,000 residents live in collective shelters in Damascus countryside. Surviving a merciless siege and war, in which they had no hand, they move to a no less cruel and miser ‘unknown’.
As measures to alleviate their suffering, Beyaz Eller organization launches a new campaign– “We Support You” – to obtain minimum food and shelter essentials and deliver them to the deported people of Eastern Ghouta.
