Syria’s economy was devastated by a multi-sided conflict that has extended for several years and involved the entire national territory, besides regional and international actors. Financially destitute households have been suffering to afford a livelihood in the besieged areas and areas that had witnessed extensive military operations.
While many relief organizations avoid reaching out to risk zones, “Beyaz Eller Organization” has worked through its local teams to reach the neediest households there and secure the basic needs to keep them alive.
Supported by a number of “Egyptian Benefactors”, the organization has worked on distributing food baskets to the targeted cities and villages of Eastern Ghouta. 1,971 bread bundles were distributed to each family, in addition to 450 family meals, totaling 12,105 besieged beneficiaries who could not leave sub-ground shelters during the intensive shelling.

Indirect Support
“Beyaz Eller Organization” has focused on offering job opportunities to members of the local community while undertaking its projects. This time, our project has allowed 5 workers to sustain life through short-term and task-based jobs.
“What cuts my heart is to hear a grandson screaming of hunger as I cannot bring him even a cup of water. Children are innocent victims of misery and destitute brought about by this war”
Among them was a young man who worked full time to sustain his family after his father had passed away. Being the only breadwinner of his house, he was able to afford food and water through participating in distribution and delivery works. Thus, a total of 35 beneficiaries have received indirect support.
The organization works around the clock to support the afflicted Syrian people, with greater focus on the besieged areas. Financial and in-kind assistance is delivered in cooperation with several organizations and charity associations around the world.
