The White Hands Association has dedicated its efforts to achieving food security and improving livelihoods for the affected population in northern Syria through the implementation of a comprehensive and well-thought-out project.
This project spanned 48 months continuously, involving the distribution of General food assistance (baskets) and nutritional supplements.
Additionally, awareness and protection sessions were provided to internally displaced persons and local communities on issues such as protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), gender-based violence (GBV), women's rights, prevention of cholera, and campaigns to measure malnutrition in children.
The White Hands Association in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP) to fulfill its humanitarian goals and ensure the delivery of assistance to those in greater need.
Bread holds a significant place in the daily food system, and these bundles carry not only high nutritional value but also sustainable security for the beneficiary families. White Hands was able to ensure the regular availability of bread to meet essential food needs.
The White Hands Association had a significant positive impact on the targeted communities through the food security and livelihood project through the assistance provided by the WFP program. By serving 94,333 families, WH brought about a real transformation in their living conditions and provided a more stable environment.
The project went beyond meeting basic needs, providing awareness and protection sessions to displaced persons and local communities. Efforts were made to reduce exploitation and sexual assault, raise awareness about women's rights, and combat gender-based violence.
Commitment to disease prevention was demonstrated through continuous campaigns to prevent cholera, providing necessary information and warnings to limit its spread and protect community health.
As part of our commitment to childcare, campaigns were conducted to measure malnutrition in children, and necessary measures were taken to address this health challenge.
By supporting food security, we successfully stimulated local employment opportunities and enhanced the economic independence of beneficiary families.
After a 48-month of continuous efforts and dedication by the White Hands Association in its comprehensive project in northern Syria, the project has been completed and suspended by the World Food Program (WFP) for various reasons, with insufficient funding being a significant factor.
