Nothing is crueller than a winter storm dumping rain and snow over a nylon tent that barely prevents water from coming inside and never brings warmth or safety to the displaced inhabitants. Yet, some IDPs have not afforded a tent to protect their families and children from the nearing winter.
For nine years, Syrian IDPs have endured a crisis of repeated deportation and bitter hardship. Despite their continued search for means to protect families and children against winter, many fail to afford the least of shelter, clothing, and heating necessities; such supplies that challenge the finance of international organizations, much more individual civilians amid war.
