Misery among Syrian deportees persists in rural Aleppo as a result of severed livelihoods and increased challenges to earn living as more deportees emigrate every day to escape bombardment in nearby regions. Altogether, the situation is marked with considerable food shortage and increased difficulty to earn a living.
Distribution of food baskets to the deportees of Aleppo suburbs:
Youth, young, and elder people in Aleppo suburbs suffer from food shortage and associated health problems that threaten the continuity of their lives.
As these conditions deprive deportees in rural Aleppo from balanced nutrition, we strive to provide assistance through food basket distributions. Thereof, “Beyaz Eller organization” used support from “Abdullah AlNouri Charity Society- Kuwait” to undertake a food-distribution project that targeted 1,088 deportees in rural Aleppo. 1,088 food baskets have benefited 5,440 needing individuals in the impoverished area.
The organization has delivered food baskets containing basic nutrients such as: “rice, sugar, groats, pasta, margarine, red and green lentil, jam, beans. And tomato paste” to beneficiaries following a pre-set distribution plan. Distribution lists targeted the neediest households in Aleppo suburbs. Also, the organization strived to select the best prices to enable the distribution of the greatest number of parcels.
