Cash for Winter – Beyaz Eller Association

The Beyaz Eller Association carries a strong humanitarian message in providing assistance and relief to the displaced individuals in northern Syria.

The "Winter Aid" project comes as a positive step to alleviate the suffering of the displaced population in the countryside of Idlib during the winter season.

The association distributes cash amounts and conducts awareness sessions on vital issues.

Project Scope

The project targets the displaced communities in the following camps:

  1. Al Khirba Al Muhasara (and extension)
  2. Khaled Bin Al Waleed (Sarmada)
  3. Shahba'1/الشهبا1
  4. Al Nahdha (Sarmada)
  5. Al Sadaka
  6. Islamuna
  7. Andan

Project Goals

Mitigating the impact of winter on the most vulnerable people in NW Syria through flexible integrated cash interventions amounting to $150 per family. Among the project's objectives is to provide awareness sessions, including protection against exploitation and sexual abuse (PSEA), complaint mechanisms, gender equality and women's rights, gender-based violence (GBV), and methods for cholera prevention.

Project Results

  1. Cash Distribution: A sum of $150 was distributed to each family in the targeted camps, providing crucial financial support to meet their basic needs during the winter season.
  2.  Awareness and Protection Sessions: The association successfully organized awareness sessions on vital issues, contributing to spreading awareness and empowering the community to protect itself from surrounding challenges.
  3. Social Impact: The project contributed to improving the social situation of the displaced individuals and enhancing community ties through support and awareness provision.

Project Statistics

  • Number of Beneficiary Families: 2,715 families.
  • Distributed Cash Amount: $150 per family.
  • Number of Awareness Sessions: 40 sessions in 7 camps.
