According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey (AFAD), over 450,000 refugee has escaped death in eastern Syria and entered Urfa, by midst October 2014. Of this group, 2,500 families are in dear need for shelter and winter supplies. Thanks to generous donations, Beyaz Eller offered basic relief supplies for the afflicted families. Mattresses, blankets, pillows, isolating mats, heaters and heating supplies were distributed at a cost of $408,100.
This came under Beyaz Eller’s Shelter and Non-alimentary Aid Program that aims at alleviating the suffering of displaced Syrians, preserving their human dignity and enabling them a sustainable livelihood.
