The number of hospitals and medical points in liberated northern Syria is fairly insufficient. Patients have to travel long distances to reach the closest medical point.
To help families receive quick and adequate service, in November 2015, Beyaz Eller decided to support a portable clinic at a cost of $17,400.
Throughout a year period, the clinic was fully equipped with medical devices, disposables and medications, especially for diabetes and hypertension patients. In addition, the institution paid salaries for two of doctors, nurses and drivers.
The clinic offered free examination and medicine to all Syrian patients, and worked on reducing amputation cases. The number of beneficiaries reached 50-70 individuals every day.
The project followed Beyaz Eller Health Program that aims at preserving human life, supporting Syria’s medical infrastructure and enabling a healthy livelihood.
