Between 23/11/2014 and 25/06/2015,”Beyaz Eller”, supported by “Qatar Charity Association” undertook wheat cultivation project in  Aleppo.

The project included renting 30 hectares of arable land, and hiring local farmers to grow wheat on it, then supply local markets with the project produce.

The project aimed at realizing food security and providing “bread”, in addition to empowering farmers economically, protecting the arable land from desertion and realizing self-sufficiency of wheat- at least partially.

The project resulted in feeding 110 tons of quality wheat to the local markets, supporting food security in northern rural Aleppo and creating job opportunities for 150 farmers. Meanwhile, the project supported local production of flour and reduced its prices.
