Beyaz Eller Distributed 756 Ramadan Baskets in Northern Rural Homs

The humanitarian situation in northern rural Homs is reportedly deteriorating. The predominantly rural and agricultural region is not any better than cities and trade centers, as harvest opportunities are quite limited in winter season, while skyrocketed prices of fuel, seeds and fertilizers abandons the hope for self-sustainability during summer. As a result, the number of victims of acute malnutrition increases every day. To allay some of the misery that has been plaguing families, Beyaz Eller, in cooperation with Abdullah al-Nouri association, distributed 756 Ramadan baskets to suffice needs of 3,780 individuals in the region. This comes under Beyaz Eller Food Security and Livelihood Program that aims at alleviating Syria’s humanitarian crisis and enabling families a sustainable livelihood.
