Beyaz Eller Sponsored 518 Orphans and 210 Families

This project targeted orphans and families who lost their breadwinners to the war in Syria. With only $50 over a year, we provided essential needs for 518 orphans and helped 210 families secure small incomes from artifact businesses that build upon, or develop, their productive skill. Beyaz Eller looked after orphans’ health and living conditions and updated their data records every three months to keep track of their housing and education. We also chose families deserving sadaqa by collecting data on their living, health and educational conditions.

According to UNICEF reports, many Syrian children lost at least one of their parents or care-givers to violence. To avoid hunger and homelessness, many have taken their way to work. They usually receive few pennies that hardly buy food. Our institution aims at reaching out for the largest number of orphans; donors shared our efforts to protect them with $50 a month, or $600 for a year-long sponsorship.

Note giving: Beyaz Eller invited donors to visit orphans in the Syrian inside, checked up on their living conditions and whether they truly receive sponsorship money.

Sahl ibn Sa‘d reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,” and he gestured with his forefinger and the middle finger to illustrate (Source: Sahih Al-Bukhari: 5659).
